Irving Interchange Closures Through Dec. 13

TxDOT will perform overnight work on SH 183, SH 114, Spur 482 and Loop 12 through Dec. 13. Expect lane and road closures, with delays and heavy traffic affecting the surrounding highways, frontage roads and streets.

Project-Wide

Slow-rolling equipment and rolling blocks will occur throughout the Irving Interchange for sweeping, watering, installation of ground deflectors and signs, and new lane striping:

Daily, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, Dec. 9 through Friday, Dec. 13.

Nightly, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday, Dec. 9 through Friday, Dec. 13.

Loop 12

The right lane of southbound Loop 12, from Union Bower Road to Texas Plaza, will be closed nightly, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday, Dec. 9 through Friday, Dec. 13.

Northbound Loop 12 will experience alternating right and left lane closures, from Texas Plaza to Union Bower Road, nightly, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday, Dec. 9 through Friday, Dec. 13.

SH 183

The right lane of westbound SH 183, from Grauwyler Road to Carl Road, will be closed nightly, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday, Dec. 9 through Friday, Dec. 13.

The right lane of eastbound SH 183, from Carl Road to SH 114, will be closed nightly, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday, Dec. 9 through Friday, Dec. 13.

SH 114

The eastbound SH 114 direct connector to southbound Loop 12 will be closed nightly, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday, Dec. 9 through Friday, Dec. 13.

Westbound SH 114 will experience alternating right and left lane closures, from SH 183 to Tom Braniff Drive, nightly, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday, Dec. 9 through Friday, Dec. 13.

The right lane of eastbound SH 114, from N. MacArthur Boulevard to SH 183, will be closed nightly, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday, Dec. 9 through Friday, Dec. 13.

Spur 482

The right lane of northbound Spur 482, from SH 183 to Fedex, will be closed nightly, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday, Dec. 9 through Friday, Dec. 13.

The right lane of southbound Spur 482, from Fedex to SH 183, will be closed nightly, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday, Dec. 9 through Friday, Dec. 13.

Detours will be marked with signage. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes when possible and to slow down through construction zones.

IRVING INTERCHANGE PROJECT

This work is part of the ongoing $301 million Irving Interchange project that will reconstruct the interchanges at SH 183, SH 114, Loop 12 and Spur 482. The project is anticipated to be completed in fall 2024, weather permitting. TxDOT is urging motorists to use caution in the work zone.
