Sandra Lee Collins: Beloved Wife, Mom, Mimi, Sister, Aunt and friend passed away on February 21st at the age of 69. Born 1955 in Oklahoma City, she always had a passion for life and was full of love and true appreciation for family and friends. In 1972, she moved to Texas where she would spend the rest of her life, raising her family and creating lifelong friendships.
As a strong and determined woman she broke down barriers, earned countless awards and recognition throughout her career. Her dedication and talent didn't go unnoticed, receiving an invitation to join the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders, but instead choosing to work in the press box prioritizing her family.
It cannot be understated the love for her family on Lake Vilbig where she was elected the first President of Vilbig Bass Club.
Sandra enjoyed gardening, cooking, traveling, but “making memories” was her greatest joy. She married the love of her life, Michael Collins in 1999, and together they created a beautiful life filled with warmth and laughter.
Sandra is survived by her beloved husband, children, sister, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and too many friends to count.
A visitation will be held at Chism-Smith Funeral Home, located at 403 South Britain Road, Irving, TX 75060, on March 3, 2025, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to TUNNEL TO TOWERS.
Sandra Lee Collins leaves behind a legacy of love, empathy, strength and compassion. She will be dearly missed by everyone who had the honor of knowing her. May her generous spirit and unconditional love be passed through all that knew her for generations to come.
A healthy Dallas County requires great community news.
