Update: Loop 12 Closures Through Oct. 26

TxDOT will perform overnight work on Loop 12 through Oct. 26. Expect lane and road closures, with delays and heavy traffic affecting the surrounding highways, frontage roads and streets.


Loop 12

  • Added: The signals at northbound Loop 12 Grauwyler Road frontage road and Grauwyler Road will become a full three-way stop on Wednesday, Oct. 23, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • The southbound Loop 12 Union Bower exit will be closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., nightly, Monday, Oct. 21 through Friday, Oct. 25.

  • The southbound Loop 12 frontage road will be closed from Grauwyler Road to Union Bower from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., nightly, Monday, Oct. 21 through Friday, Oct. 25.

Detours will be marked with signage. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes when possible and to slow down through construction zones.

IRVING INTERCHANGE PROJECT 
This work is part of the ongoing $301 million Irving Interchange project that will reconstruct the interchanges at SH 183, SH 114, Loop 12 and Spur 482. The project is anticipated to be completed in fall 2024, weather permitting. TxDOT is urging motorists to use caution in the work zone.
