Motorcycle rider dies following collision
Grand Prairie—The Grand Prairie Police Department is investigating a fatal traffic collision in the 3100 block of southbound South Highway 161 on May 14 at approximately 3:20 p.m.
A motorcycle was traveling southbound when a Honda passenger van entered the lanes of traffic from a private drive, failing to yield to the motorcycle, and collided with the motorcycle. The single rider was ejected and sustained serious injuries. He was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased by medical staff. No other injuries were reported.
The identity of the deceased will be released by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office once next of kin have been notified.
The collision remains under investigation.
