Irving—Against the backdrop of a spirited home crowd at Joy & Ralph Ellis Stadium on Sept. 4, the Nimitz High School Vikings were defeated by the Fort Worth Paschal Panthers, 49–7, in their second game of the season.

Paschal jumped out early and never looked back, asserting control through a relentless ground game. By halftime, the Panthers had built a commanding lead, with the final score underscoring Nimitz's struggles.

Nimitz’s lone score came from an offensive drive that demonstrated the Vikings’ offensive potential, but it was a rare bright spot on a challenging night.

Despite the deficit, the Vikings showed flashes of grit. Senior running back Jevon Woolfolk, who leads the team in rushing yards per game entering the season, managed to break through for several key rushes.

On defense, senior linebacker Messiah Ford, one of Nimitz’s top tacklers, logged a handful of stops.
