Man attempts gas station arson

Irving—A 46-year-old man was arrested Thursday evening after allegedly trying to set fire to his car and a fuel pump at a QuikTrip gas station in Irving.
The incident took place around 7:20 p.m. on July 31 at the QuikTrip located at 2215 North O’Connor Road. According to officials, emergency crews were called to the scene after a witness reported a man attempting to ignite a fire using the gas pump, while also making threats to cause an explosion.
The suspect, identified as Lonl Michael Tigner, was quickly detained by police and fire investigators. Fire crews were able to extinguish the flames before they caused significant damage or injuries.
