Cedar Hill football to host DeSoto in Battle Of Belt Line

Cedar Hill—The Cedar Hill High School Football Team will host DeSoto in the annual Battle Of Belt Line Game at 7 p.m. Friday.

The Longhorns (3-4, 2-2) are looking for their first victory in the series since 2020 against the Eagles (5-2, 3-1), two-time defending state champions.

Cedar Hill jumped out to a 7-0 lead last week with a CJ Castleberry touchdown, but host Waxahachie scored 21 unanswered points in the second quarter en route to a 24-13 victory.

Dayshun Reese-Williams had 12 carries for 47 yards and his team-high sixth rushing touchdown of the season. Castleberry's touchdown was his fourth of the year.
