Gary Lee Lay

Gary Lee Lay, 58, of Irving, Texas, passed away on August 29, 2024, in Sanger, TX surrounded by his family. He was born on February 10, 1966, in Irving to Dorothy Lay and Curtis Phillips. Gary was known by all for his humor and passion for working on cars. He is survived by his children, Brittany Lay and Joseph Lay; siblings Joann Walker and Curtis Phillips. Gary was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy Lay, stepfather Virgil Lay, biological father Curtis Phillips, and brothers Billie and Roger Barton. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home in Irving. Gary will be deeply missed and remembered fondly by all who knew him.
